As economic situations throughout the world change and become more challenging to many retirees – some will chose the Philippines to live because they can have a higher standard of living then they did in during their working years in their home country.

Simply put – the Philippines is more affordable then North America – most places in Western Europe – many countries in Asia. Over the next decade there are several hundred million people who will reach retirement age. That’s a lot of people.

As retirees’ income reduces – and their expenses increase (such as property taxes) – many retirees will cope by downsizing from their current standard of living levels. Some may even move in with their kids in an effort to make their money last.
